For the record, I have had really great experiences with the USPS. For some reason, registered which had really sped up in the last five years ago has hit the skids time wise. Customers will wait a week for a coin, two weeks is a stretch. Really no excuse for that mush time and no one really gives a damn.

I need advise from any seasoned eBay seller .... please.
Purchased and printed on eBay 3 Priority & signature confirmation $9.25 x 3
.... then the PO clerk suggested Specific signature confirmation instead after scanning all of them.
So I paid another $15 x 3 and was told to go to USPS online and cancel them for refund.
I tried to cancel it on line but to no avail ..... PO now sending me home to call them direct so they can get directive on how to refund it here at the local PO.
Geez......waiting time is over an hour and I hung up after 28 min hold. I figured it's not worth my 'hourly' pay but it is indeed so frustrating.
Anything printed on eBay can simply be canceled on eBay. I do it all the time when I make a mistake or change my mind. Go to your labels and choose "void"
Except once they are scanned into the USPS system then they're nolo cancello! He's probly SOL unless a Supervisor can override it.
Oops, you're correct. I missed that detail.

With no edit gear I have to do a new post to add something I neglected to mention. My home town is Rock Island, IL. The original store was replaced, along with adjacent properties, by a grocery store. So it wasn't there for me to work there but, I worked in another outlet. The worst job was hand beading the chicken because the breading batter and the chicken was kept ice cold.
I had an unfortunate incident one evening. I was making a delivery to a motel.....now don't let your imagination carry you away..... and I drove up to the lobby doors which had an overhanging roof to protect the entrance from weather. The vehicle was a standard van of the era with company logo's and wording all the way around. This was my first delivery assignment and I neglected to take into account the lighted 24" 3-D company logo chicken mounted on the van roof. There wasn't sufficient clearance for the van height AND the chicken to clear the low clearance over hang. I guess the architects of the motel didn't take into account a standard van with a lighted 3-D 24" molded chicken on the roof of the van attempting to travel under said overhang. The chicken became a casualty with a bang. Broke off at the ankles leaving the feet attached to the van roof and the wiring keeping the now footless chicken body from falling off the roof of the van. Of course, it was a molded chicken and was beyond repair and only replacement would return the dignity to the Chicken Delight delivery van.
I wasn't fired and returned to chicken breading, cooking the chicken, shrimp, fish and fries in the deep fryers and making pizzas. I got pretty good at spinning the dough. I still get red in the face even now relating this story that happened about 50 years ago.

I have a store so not sure if this will work for you but if you can access a seller hub page,,,,,,, scroll down the LH side to shipping labels and a list of your printed labels will show,,,,, if you purchased thru eBay,,,,, you can then click on a drop down link on the RH side and void the label. It will take a week or so for the refund to show up because they need to make sure you didn't use the label.
Well,, can't seem to edit anything but just saw the PO scanned them,,,,,,, she should have voided the scan if she was selling you different labels. I would go back to the Post Office but if is like mine a waste of time...
I came home today to find a cardboard box sitting on my front porch SOAKED thru and thru,,,,,, been raining HARD for two days ,,,,,,,, flood warnings out everywhere. My porch is not covered.
At least UPS AND FedEx places packages inside plastic bags when rain is possible. USPS has no concern to do anything right.
They sometimes don't even take all the packages out of my box to ship if the box is full they don't look to the back to see the others. Last time this happened I drove to the Post Office and slapped $40 down on the counter,,,,, the clerk said you want to buy stamps?
I said NO,,,, I want to pay for an eye exam for my carrier who obvisouly has vision problems.
RE: They are actually a private entity heavily regulated by the government.
Not true...
The USPS is an independent establishment of the Executive branch (govt agency really).

The numbers work or don't work whether the workers work or don't work.
