At the just concluded Long Beach show I stopped by JDRC table on Saturday.
He said he was beginning to deal more world coins.
Being the numismatic giant for US coins that he is I thought that to be big news.
First time I met him .... great guy!

He's one of the best for gold coins.
"A great guy!"............I have to tell you, that comment is a wild understatement!
I've known him for decades now, and in my opinion, he is really God's gift to numismatics!
I got to meet him one year at Summer Seminar intermediate grading class. He sat in two days and really cleared up a lot of things for the students for sure, I know I'm better for it. I remember his take on proofs being "the intent of the coiner" and has little to do with appearance of the coin. I also remember him explaining how the annealing process of large cent dies contributed to die cracks around the stars, among other things, when the guy talks its best to listen intently.
