    Wow! That's a great first ancient! That's a gorgeous example of perhaps the most famous of ancient coins.

    +1 An example of which was my first significant ancient acquisition after about a decade search for one.

    @savitale Thank you!

    @SaorAlba Sometimes it takes a long time to find the right coin. I was lucky that there are a few nice ones out there right now.

    Great pickup. I looked at many before buying my owl as well. Congrats!

    Not familiar with ancients, but the strike on the owl is fantastic!

    I'm not even really into ancients, but I would buy that, too. Great coin!

    Wow, you really jumped in head first. Nice pick up. May it be the first of many ancients. :smiley:

    A very nice Owl, Stella. And yours is the rarer 455 BC Early Transitional Type. Wonderful! I love those early type. Hope to get one in the near future. So far, I am successful landing only the Classical. Here is mine, recently from Heritage.

    Thank you, @Kkathyl .

    Agreed, @happycollecting . The earlier type was one of the reasons I picked this particular coin. Yours is a nice piece as well!
