Please show me your "Monster" toned coin. I want to know what each of you think is a "Monster".

I would consider this one a definite Monster... I call it the "Record Setter" which at the time of the auction it was the highest price paid for a common date Morgan Dollar... In 2005 Superior Galleries auctioned off the Battle Creek Morgan Dollars in I believe 3 separate auctions and the Late Mike DeFalco won 110 of the finest Lots all in NGC star holders... The Record Setter was placed with Lloyd Cowle sometime shortly after and then in 2008 I acquired the coin from Mike sight unseen... I was ecstatic to say the least when I saw the coin for the first time and the pics I had seen prior did not do this amazing toned Morgan any justice... Last year (2018) I successfully crossed the coin to PCGS and it upgraded a plus to MS66+... The PCGS photo dept did a wonderful job of capturing all the color and showing the luster as well and to say the least I am pleased... AB

Absolutely.... Yes i still own it and if you like here is the new cert #35923065 as I have had new pics done that I believe are a tad nicer(brighter) that you can use if you like...

@AuroraBorealis You have many I would consider "Monsters" but this one has always held a special place for me. Color AND 68+ surfaces. All hail "The Moose".

Maybe he's a BFM = Before Feathered Monsters.

[Evidence states that Allosauroids, as above, where probably scaly and lacked feathers. Feathers are also a trait only Coelurosaurs have, including Tyrannosaurus Rex.]

WOW! They are all beautiful! I have a few other toned coins but this came to mind first for some reason. It is a solid silver Mardi Gras doubloon, for the "special people" ,down here during MardiGras the people that are the kings and queens of different parades are actually treated like royalty, there is always a ball for the many parades, some larger and very extravagant, some not so much.
BACCHUS is a serious ball and parade. It is difficult to get a really good pic in the flip, the toning is even all the way around, from dark blue purple to everything else. Here is one of several that I own.
