Took awhile, but worth the wait! All of these cards were purchased at a White Plains show a few months ago from the same source. Obviously happy with the results. Most of the cards are not too tough, but the Baylor rookie is pretty nice, and the Locker and Phoebus 10s are not super common. I only wish I could find raw cards this nice more often!

It amazes me that people sell Mint to Gem Mint raw cards from actively collected sets. Congratulations on finding them and getting to do the honors of sending them in.

How do they price them? Beckett high book or something?

The guy I bought them from just said he didn’t want to be bothered submitting commons from the seventies. He is a dealer who mostly sells high grade stars from the fifties and sixties, I think he just found this set to be beneath him or something. And yes, I think I paid like $70 for the lot.

That is an awesome sub on some nice looking cards. When you sent them to PSA, were you thinking there were a bunch of 10s and 9s?

Yes, I was certainly hoping they were mostly 9s. I did think there was a chance for a couple of 10s, but these results certainly exceeded my expectations.

    Wow, awesome sub, Dave!

Did you pull the Cedeno at the last minute? I remember you posting that card when you were on the fence.

Tim, thanks! I originally bought 25 cards. After going through them carefully, I removed six from consideration due to wear or centering issues, leaving the 19 in the picture. I then picked the 15 best to include in this renewal sub. The next three best were the Cedeno, Gullet and Speier, which are at PSA now for the free registry sub I obtained. That has no turnaround time, so I’m just going to forget about it and be pleasantly reminded that it exists in a few months :)

The Ken Brett card I posted with the Cedeno has no shot at a 9 but would make a nice 8 so I may still send that in some day.

That's awesome Mike! You certainly hit the 10 gods on that sub.

Here are the three leftover cards from this sub I sent in for my free set registry grades. Can’t believe the results as I thought they were all worse than the other 15!

Of the seven PSA 10s that came from these submissions, this Gullett is tied with the Bob Locker for the lowest pop, both being pop 5 once mine are included.

Did you pick your source clean at White Plains? I'd be looking to hit that guy up again. Awesome results.
