that's because I'm not using any microscope here.
Nickels from this era often show heavily deteriorated dies. Add in a touch of machine doubling if makes you feel better.
Bottom line: its is worth what it says - five cents.
PMD, something hit/dinged the nickel to leave the cut.
Alright so nothing special here in this one.
