Has anyone else thought this is a large quantity of gold certs coming up for auction?
a Search shows 92 Gold Notes coming up for auction, wow!

For example, $50 Gold Certs are tough in high grade but there are several coming up:

I've notice that, you're right, unusual to see so many at one time !!!
The 1905 $20 Technicolor has insane colors and may be the absolute nicest I’ve ever seen. Breathtaking note, simply incredible.
and I thought the $50 small size were tough in high grade - that is simply gorgeous!
PS - Siesta collection?
Not sure who’s behind the Siesta Collection, but they have a good eye for high quality notes.

I know GC's with large denomination and in good (AU or better) condition are pricey but this was 6x FV for a 12 grade !!
You have tears...part of a corner missing....discoloration....wrinkles/folds/creases galore....wow.
Will check out some more recent auctions and see where the market is as it has changed a ton since 2019.

Interesting....at FUN 2019 (a year before I went)...you had $50 Gold Certificates from 1928 in 64, 65, and 66 grades.
The sales (including bp) were $4,320......$4,560.....$5,520. I wonder what those prices would be for 3 different grades sequentially today....and if the gap/spread between the 3 bills would be that narrow.
If my monitor isn't deceiving me, yes, that's the nicest, most vivid 1905 $20 that I have ever seen, too.
And the holder says that my monitor isn't deceiving me. Wow!

Has anybody heard of the "Midwest Gold Cache" which I see on some Large Currency Gold Certificates ?
Could just be a marketing ploy, but maybe it was part of a famous collection or hoard.
I see a lot of notes from the “Midwest Gold Cache” on Heritage, eBay, and online. I get the impression that it’s similar to the Fairmont hoard. I have no idea if notes from this hoard have a premium or negative premium. I’m a coin guy and I think a large note gold certificate complements my core coin set.
