Ask Me Anything Session with Brett Charville January 1 Why Delete all the Questions?

1tommy1tommy Posts: 3,019 ✭✭✭✭✭

While I enjoyed his stopping by to answer a few of the questions from Forum members I have to ask WHY after the session was closed did all the questions get deleted? There were many good questions he did not answer and it appears by deleting those questions that you did not want the other questions showing up? WHY? I and others took time to ask honest and nice questions and now feel like I just wasted my time.

Enjoy Tom

I can see why the unanswered questions were deleted as there is no answer which would have just let things hanging. Be happy with the honest answers we received and look forward to the next forum. Reask your question then and see the result.

Q: When does a collector become a numismatist?

A: The year they spend more on their library than their coin collection.

A numismatist is judged more on the content of their library than the content of their cabinet.

There was a lot of food for thought there and maybe future informal discussions (just among forum members) could've helped brain-storm some solutions.

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

Hopefully they stored a version w/o the unanswered questions edited out so they can at least look into some of the things that were brought up, or maybe even post the answers to those questions once they have done some detective work.

We wanted the final product of the Q&A to be a simple to navigate list of answered questions. Answering as many questions as we could then clearing everything else out was the best way to accomplish this. The final product is a list of questions and their respective answers.

Oh BTW I believe I can answer one of the questions that Brett didn't get to:

Someone was asking about getting slabs Trueviewed without having to lose an older version slab. The answer is that option is already in place IIRC. You can make a special request on submission form that the coin be shot while in the old holder.

I appreciated the response by cameonut. I've asked the question in the past and received PMs stating you can request it, but that it is unofficial. I would submit the coins if the option were openly available. I just don't want to lose the holders over someone not recognizing my unofficial/unusual request.

Given the deletion of the question - I suspect PCGS is not interested.
