I think the MS63 $10 Libs were the best deal...$635 after the eBay Bucks. The bid/ask at Stacks is $700/$730. So that is $65 profit per coin. + credit card rewards + eBay Bucks

Honest question on this type of thinking:
So, when one sells to a place like Stacks, with that type of bid/ask, then what are the costs/results?
For instance, keeping the CC rewards and ebay bucks out of it (since not everyone has CC cashback and it muddies things), and since ebay bucks is for FUTURE use (or expires) and is not cash in pocket).....and since you are limited on the number of these you can buy at a time ($100 max on the coupon), what do you really get for a profit and is it worth it?
Does stacks pay your shipping? (I honestly don't know, but I assume they don't).
So, you're likely paying $5 or more to ship. You "make" $65 and subtract that cost (hoping gold doesn't go down in the time it takes to receive it from apmex on ebay).
So, is it worth the time effort for $60? Is Stacks easy to deal with on a quantity of (1) like this? Or, do they prefer deals with many more than that?

Buying NGC MS63 $10 Libs sight unseen is risky. Many look no better than raw 60's. Justified because price is $15 over melt. Those Stacks bids are sight seen and many times there is a minimum to get that price. These were not the best deal tonight IMO. I didn't get the best deal either but pretty close. $42 under melt on a modern $10 was the best I saw.
Rarcoa, Stacks, etc. will scrutinize potential purchases, they aren't blind. And Bluesheet $10 Libs in 63 are probably going to have minor problems, could be copper spots, could be grease streaks, excessive marks. The services overgraded a lot of these coins over the years. CC gives back 1-2%, ebucks is worth something, but the hassles of rejected coins from wholesale buyers is not great especially if the coins need to be conserved to be salable.
All I can tell you is not too long ago I bought 7 or 8 10 Libs from Ampex when there was a 10% ebay bucks offer. Sold them at my local show for a very slight profit and got $700.00 or so in ebay bucks that were not hard to spend! I also go the CC kickback! These were 62's and not to shabby for the grade either.

I thought the ebay buck limit was $500 how did you get $700 ( or so)
I never receive the email from ebay but I find it on their site and it works. If you buy more than one item make sure you put them all together to check out so you can get 15% on all of them.

As a dealer, who sets up at shows, I think liquidation would be easier for you. Also, you purchased using the 10% ebucks, where you can do up to $500/account/quarter. This was a collector, I assume, who was using the coupon, which is a 1-time use (assuming 5 accounts, then 5 purchases), who was talking about Stacks; not their own dealer table.
There is a difference there and that's what I was wondering.....as a collector, is it worth it to buy the 1 off and try to sell to Stacks (or similar entity)?
My account and my wife's bogus account! Wouldda went for a grand but already had earned $300 ebay bucks.

IMHO the $10 libs MS63 have very little downside below spot.
1. AUTHENTICATED = easier to resell than raw
2. 63 = Not beaters
3. Classic gold$ > Bullion$ (including mod commems)
This assumes they are sold retail, like on ebay -- not through the big boys who take a cut.
I can always wait until the next little spike in gold and sell them DURING the next eBates or discount day like yesterday and reap that "bonus" a SECOND time! Plus I can usually fetch a better price for a known date/photo than a "random" date by the big boys.

I agree you'll do better selling on ebay with a NGC MS63 $10. If you want something that insures a small profit walking in a shop a bullion $30 or $40 back of melt is the better bet. Since I'm a net seller right now but wanted to take advantage of half ounce bullion well behind melt it was the only choice for me.

Nice while it lasted bye-bye

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
At about 5 mins left I remembered the password for a 4th account and snatched 6 rolls.

Still reiterate what I said...many more avenues to sell MS63 $10s than just Stack's. And when you get 4 instead of 1, it is justified.

Thanks for the post. I was able to use this for an auction I wanted that ended about 15 minutes earlier
