Will these Buffalo varieties straight grade, or.....?

Both are 3-1/2 leggers and appear to be worth submitting. The 1927-D has a small rim bump near the Buffalo's right rear leg. The 1917-D has what looks to me to be a minor clipped planchet. Would I need to submit the 17-d as an error in addition to the variety attribution ? Thanks in advance.

The 1917-D is not a genuine clipped planchet, it was damaged post Mint. There are no signs of metal flow and the rim, though thinner, is fully formed.

I would think you would get a details grade on both coins from our host.

Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.

I would concur with seanq. And the '17-D looks to have a stronger leg than is normally seen on the variety.
