Toned Gold Commemorative $5 1986-W Statue of Liberty PCGS MS69

Just picked this up, what do you all think? Is it very common on modern pieces?
@jwitten I know you appreciate toned gold

Love gold.
But you just got it so you probably do not know if it was slabbed with that toning?
The cert does not have a TV.
Kinda looks like dip residue that turned.
I am not sure if it was slabbed with the toning. Looks like a PCGS 4.4 slab, so it was slabbed between Nov. 2005 - Dec. 2011. it could have turned by then.
These pics are the sellers, I'll investigate it better once I have it in hand, likely after Christmas.
Only good part is gold is inert, so unlike silver it will not eat into the surface over time.
Not attractive toning IMO.
There's pretty toned gold and ... this.
Kind regards,
George
Very poor eye-appeal. I hope you didn't pay over melt. The plastic can't save it.
I generally like more vibrant color toning. I do like all unique gold though, which that one is, for sure. I've never really seen one like that before. Here is my most interesting modern toner:

It's different for sure
Beautiful! @jwitten
A bit much for a 30 year old gold coin.
It has that dirty NYC look
