I actually tried to buy a coin (2008 ASE PCGS MS69) and it would not allow me to do so. It was listed in two categories, coins and bullion. Perhaps it was an app for a phone?

It seems to have all worked for me, more than a $50 savings based on two bars.
I don't know who eats the discount, but I don't think I want to be an eBay stockholder.
While multiple categories can help sellers get more eyeballs, when it comes to ebay bucks and these specials for % off, any "offending" category negates it for the whole thing. So, the bullion category assigned to that auction negated it even though the other category may have been eligible. Been that way for a long time, sadly.

I had not gotten the eBay Bucks promotions recently, probably because I did really well on them earlier in the year.
But I got this promotion (like everybody else), and yes it worked a bit differently. Instead of a credit to eBay Bucks, the discount came off immediately once you typed in the promotion code.
Still a few more hours to take advantage of this one...
Check if it's cross listed in bullion. That category does not qualify.
Most others do (paper money also doesn't).
