I am in the counterfeit camp. The bar that the eagle is perched on is off. In a genuine example there are 6 bar lines under the tail feathers. On the OP coin 5 bar lines at best.

I would be surprised if PCGS would authenticate from these photos. Everyone is just guessing.
Hi Jim... that's just the point. They wouldn't. If the OP sends the coin in, PCGS would have it in hand to make the determination of authenticity. Until that, we can look at all the pictures we'd like and it's still just speculation.
Collecting: Dansco 7070; Middle Date Large Cents (VF-AU); Box of 20;
Scary good if it's a fake. But, with that said I still worry about the truncated stars 12 and 13. They should have points that stay on the coin and not blunts that end at the edge

It seems fine for an AU (I do not know the die characteristics of known fakes for 1914s), but I would look at everything close that came with the Vermont.
The 1914 $5 was purchased a while back (about 12 years ago) - the Vermont about 3 weeks ago
Just one of the things that looks a little off to me is the 3 small feathers between the wing tip & the tail feathers. Anyone else see a difference there? It could be lighting, wear, shadows etc.... The bottom feather looks shorter and doesn't have quite the same curl to it. Like I said this is just one thing I am seeing.

You can keep posting as many new pics as you want but it' not going to change the fact that the coin is still fake.
I only posted one additional picture that was in better focus, as I promised early in the thread (sorry for delay). Can you specify what, in fact, makes this coin fake? If would be very helpful to me and possibly to those reading this thread.
Looks real to me but would not buy a raw coin like that. Why is it not in a graded holder? Have u weighed it?
Really nice luster, a beauty. Omega fake?
Guy in coin club bought some ASE bc they around $20 each. Then found out seller in China, concerned him. Then when listing removed he called eBay got refund as tracking number not trackable, fake. Couple mo later they arrived in flips with sticker lol that said “made in China” and were inside in plastic capsules. The return address on pkg said Xzx Distr Company in NJ. They were weakly struck obvious fakes and seemed lite in wt.
Be cognizant where material shipx from when buying.
I like it. Looks good to me. Feather ends I would examine close as that would be most telling it looks MS 64 to me but have someone test it. They only made Matte finish during that period since no mm. Good luck

$2 1/2 and $5 Indian C/F's were very crude at the time the Omega's came out. We (me, Hoskins and the Mint authenticators ) believe he made and signed three coins: The $20 and the $3 with the symbol and later (after the Omega was published) a "state-of-the-art" Type 3 $1 appeared with a "tick" inside the "D" of "United" that looked like his workmanship.

FWIW the nose is problematic IMO.

I'd put my money on real and send it off to our hosts.

The whole worlds off its rocker, buy Gold™.

I think it should be sent in. Shoot, send it to ICG. It will be a cheap way to tell for sure. I am still in the fake camp as well.
Hard to tell from photos

If it’s fake they did a darn good job but I’m not expert but judging from the holder ones I have looks ok
