1838 F-101a small stars 10c; Top 100
Scarce variety in a very late die state with extended cracks on both obverse and reverse. Double die reverse.
The coin is not as "yellow" as shown in the picture. Mintage: 30,000......$285

1805 O-110 Draped Bust Half Dollar; PCGS VF30
The Condition Census for this variety lists two XF45’s as the finest known examples, one of which is a raw scratched example that appeared more than 25 years ago. Tompkins lists the CC as 45, 45, 40, 40, 35, 30. The Overton book shows this variety as an R5, while Herrman shows it as R5+(?) with a total of only 12 auction and fixed-price appearances in the past 10 years; 4 PCGS, 2 NGC, 3 ANACS, 2 NCS, and 1 raw.

11 of the 29 collectors who responded to the most recent JRCS pre-turb half dollar census reported having this variety. The average grade was “VF-26”. You can read more about this variety here: maibockaddict.com/1805-o-110-r5-draped-bust-half-dollar.shtml

The most recent sale of an O-110 was by Heritage in April 2018; PCGS VF 20 @ $1080. The coin offered here is nicer, and is properly graded. It is all original and medium gray toned. There are no defects…..SOLD

1808 Bust Half Dollar PCGS AU55
I purchased this piece in 1989 from Mid American's San Diego sale where it was listed as UNC.
The coin has wonderful blue/gray/gold toning on the obverse and the luster is bold.
The colors on the reverse are a bit more subdued, and there is a darker patch of color near the center that is probably from storage in an album. Original!.......SOLD

1810 O.107a Bust Half Dollar late die state; raw VF35 clnd
This example is in a late die state. The obverse crack from the rim upward, just left of the second
'1' into the drapery is bold. All of the cracks on the reverse are also bold.
I grade as VF 35, light cleaning........$165

1811 O.111a Bust Half Dollar PCGS AU55/CAC - late die state, PCGS #28181943
The toning is medium to deep antique grey on the obverse, while the reverse is pale gold and has plenty of luster. Surfaces are smooth, and there's some weakness in the reverse dentils and eagle’s left wing which is typical for the late die state. Original!.......$1400

1817 O-103a Bust Half Dollar; NGC XF45
Late die state of the punctuated date. Medium gray with subtle golden highlights.
Could easily have graded AU53.
NGC # 2724154-007........$585

1819/8 O-101 R1 Bust Half Dollar
I grade AU58. Terrific album toning at the rims.
The coin looks way better in hand compared to the picture.…..$1750

1873 Trade Dollar UNC cleaned
Uncirculated, but with an older cleaning. The coin is nicely toned and looks better than it appears in the pic.....$700

Lot of 5 Books: David Akers Gold, Analysis of Auction Records
I purchased these books (new) 30 or so years ago. I have rarely used them, and they have mostly been sitting on the bookshelf since I acquired them. All have very tight bindings and are in excellent condition. The set includes Gold Dollars, Quarter Eagles, Half Eagles, Eagles and Double Eagles.....Make an Offer
