Gold molecular news

Namvet69Namvet69 Posts: 8,673 ✭✭✭✭✭

I just read an article on Kitco, where scientists have figured out how to rearrange gold surface molecules at room temperature. Reminded of recent posts here wondering about altering the condition of fake and real go!d coins. Truth is stranger than fiction. Peace Roy

I wonder if all conductors have similar surface movement at room temperature when exposed to similar exchange of outer valence electrons. Or if they would show similar characteristics when under an electron microscope...
Alternating Current theory makes me wonder if the piece of gold was polarized when viewed and what sort of magnetic waves.
    Cool post @Namvet69

For this guy, I think it means that dishonest persons are going to alter problem gold coins to deceive and profit. Peace Roy

I dont know that this effect would have any use on altering anything as gigantic as a coin, say a $1 gold. That might seem small to us, but it is giant giant giant giant giant compared to the gold cones that were altered in this report. Interesting though!
