I have always admired these and finally picked one up years ago. Coin facts doesn't show a mintage figure, but I'm pretty sure its the lowest mintage coin in my collection.

This one is from a series that is almost completely unloved and unappreciated by the coin collecting masses. I have always liked trimes though - 1889 was the last year these were minted, and most of the paltry 18125 minted were business strikes. Given that it was the last year many were saved so they are not too uncommon in uncirculated or proof grades.

This J-1000 is an R-8. Not sure it's mine as it was taken from our host, but being the only Deep Cameo graded, I think there is a good shot.

I collected most of the popular unpopular series SA.
After I sold off most of my type coins I went feet first into CN 3 Cent pieces, 20 Cent pieces and Two Cent pieces. At first I was keyed in on the CN 3 Cent series but soon found out how hard it would be to complete the business strikes in BU, and the 20 Cent series seemed to be to short for my liking.
The 2 Cent Series seemed to be just right and not to expensive.
