    I forgot about this one.
Ancient Greek Diobol Mesembria 360 BC. This is without question the nicest one I've ever seen so I bought it.
    Nope, no date.

The bitterness of "Poor Quality" is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

Resurrecting this thread - my oldest coin is now even older!

A batzen (quarter sized silver coin) from Salzburg, 1511.

It depicts St. Rupert is patron saint of Salzburg - and his container of salt (SANCT RUBERDUS EPIS) and crozier. The reverse has the year and the arms of Salzburg on the left, and the bishops on the right with text LEONARD ARCHIEPI SALZ.

    My current "Box of 20"

Certainly not as old as others in this thread, but this one has a little “character” ;)
