Haven't been on the forum in a while, but wanted to share this sellers auctions I just found since I was in awe when I saw what they have... Wish I could afford something....fun to look at anyhow. Enjoy the eye candy.

Apparently it's quite simple...just have your father and brother stuff cigar boxes full of cards 60 or so years ago and leave them untouched until you find them in 2018. Happens all the time....

So prospective buyers can dream that those 61 Mantles on Page 1 might possibly be in the 8 range, which I personally very seriously doubt.

Honestly those are pretty nice raw cards. If he consigned with Greg Morris he might get prices not terribly far from his ask without having to tell a story. Think many are 6-7 range.

Truckee Meadows is a short car ride from Tahoe. Nice country. Went to a small community swap/yard sale there 10 years ago and picked up an autographed Jack Elam head shot personalized to Lana Turner for $5! I'm a huge Cannonball Run fan so it was a no brainer.

He's got some interesting stuff on there. And he ain't giving it away for peanuts that's for sure.

He certainly over-grades his raw cards, but what else is new on Ebay. LOL

He graded all the better cards already and sold many raw under a previous name. He has nice cards, but all the truly good stuff is long gone.

I know very little about the intricacies of 50s era cards, but looking at the 52 mantles he posted, is there something weird going on with the stars/black border around the name?

Buyer beware.
He buys from eBay/auctions and cuts off the slabs and resells for double. This 1951 Bowman Willie Mays:

He actually bought for $12,000 and was a PSA 6, bought on 11/6/19, cert no. 40931796, he tried to sell a 52 mantel for $45,000 that he pulled from a PSA 3Q bought from PWCC for $22,400 on 11/10/19. All while stating on his site that they were "cigar box finds" I also tracked down a 1954 Bowman Mantle he was selling for $8k that was pulled from a PSA 6 holder.
I also found six more cards he pulled out of slabs and more than doubled the price and selling as part of his "find". Very misleading.

That is standard operating procedure for long term scammers. They quickly issue full refunds to make any complaints go away, knowing full well only a small percentage of purchasers will request refunds.

This guy has been pulling this scheme for years. It's the same old cigar treasure box scheme too. This cigar box must of been the size of a football field. Also, the cards are not even from the cigar box era.

I had that box, and the shoes, back in the '70s. I think my mom found them at a flea market or garage sale.
