Willie McCovey has passed, age 80, RIP. Post a "home run" coin
Willie still leads the majors with 18 grand slams. Wonderful example of a player and man. Rookie of the year, 1959. MVP 1969, etc etc, HOF 1986.

Willie McCovey was fun to watch and did hit 18 grand slams during his career. He may very well be the National League leader in grand slams too, but there are four players with more lifetime slams than Willie. RIP
Got this coin for $4, worth over $40, It’s a home run for me
He does lead the National League but he never led the majors given that Gehrig had 23. A very sad day for baseball, though.
Alex Rodriguez finished his career with 25 Grand Slams.
Willie was an amazing baseball player.
Later, Paul.
@JRocco said it right: "he made every at bat exciting."
RIP Mr. McCovey.
As a kid, I would have loved to see him in a Cardinal's jersey.
