Good luck on Murray, Moliter, etc
good luck! been awhile since someone has done one.
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
Not sure who “Molitor” is but good luck with Trammells!
Sending a PM with my needs from 1978.
Good luck. Hope you have fun and get great cards.
He's kind of like Klutts or Washington.
If you get any of these let me know....

1985 Topps Football (starting in psa 8) - #9 - started 05/21/06
Thanks guys.
The wife is def a great lady.
The box has arrived and will do bunch of packs tonight and post some pics.
I would never have “bet” to see Pete on the top of pack 1....nice, but he has been stuck to wax for 40 years so you can’t blame him for being a mess. Through 4 packs:
Will do more over a drink after dinner.
Nice centering in pack 1
40 year old gum is always better after a few drinks.

Already entertaining Steve.
Looking forward to your scans.
Reminds of "way back in our long ago" when Softparade was here chasing a dream - a complete set - all graded. I miss guys like Dan.
Half the fun is reading the reactions. I guess the joy of youthful memories for all of us.
Ripped 5 more packs. Mixed results. The Morris and Ryan K Leaders are very nice 8-9 range. The other stars all have OC issues. Morgan has a bubble.
Hard to tell from scan but the Hassler card is a beauty. It’s too bad it’s a Hassler card!
Ok definitely need a drink then more in a few hours. I need to let Mollie and Murray finish their nap!
That won't be the last Rose you get. That card was at least double printed. Good luck w/the rest of the rip!
4 more packs in.....
observation: I pulled some really beautiful (common) cards. 4 sharp corners, gloss, just great looking 40 year old un-touched baseball cards.....but, they have 60/40 ish centering. 0% chance at 10’s. Look, I love a 50/50 card as much as the next guy, and have come to appreciate them more over past 5 years, but a strong 1978 Topps PSA 9 common is sure pretty....even is it’s only “worth” $2 ....and a terrible ROI to even get graded on the first place!
The Thurm is a beauty. At best a 9 but the centering is well above average for this card.
More to come..:
Well well well...right about 1/2 through the packs and young Eddie makes an appearance. Isn’t he pretty?? Starting to get little giddy until I looked at the left edge, 2/3 the way up.......argh. Smells like an 8 to me but what do you guys think?
7-8 or 8pd likely. Nice card
Sweet centering on that baby, but I agree with 7-8 grade. There's also a slight dark spot under O in Orioles which is common with 78s.

Man that first pic of the Eddie had me excited....agree w the 8 grade after the close up of the edges but great cernetering and appeal indeed. Cool rip!
Always looking for tougher PSA 10's of Nolan Arenado, Alex Bregman, Mookie Betts, Francisco Lindor, and Mike Trout.
Tim is right about the dark spot under the O. It is significant. It’s funny how you miss flaws on first review. 18 packs left....tomorrow.
I agree an 8 at best on Eddie.
The generic pitcher on the front of the box looks suspiciously like Dennis Eckersley.

i wonder how come the star cards arent torn in half from this box break?!
I always figured it was Sammy Stewart.
Ripped 10 more packs. Decent stars below. 50 or so commons that are mint.
Eddie #2 also with great centering. Top left corner touch and slight crease/wrinkle. Still exciting to see. No Mollie...8 packs left.
Very nice! Thanks for sharing the results. 2 Murrays out of a box is awesome. Now, we need a Molitor!

Some really solid cards Steve.
Hoping to see a Molly.
Predictions for a Molitor in pack 34 or 35.
A view of the best of the best through pack 35. No sign of Mollie.
Want to video the opening of pack 36 later and upload it but can’t figure out if you can upload a video. Any ideas please PM me. Thx.
dont forget my rennie stennet or ome moreno

Pack 36 has no Mollie. Interesting box: 2 Murray’s, no Schmidt or Ryan. Pulled 60 commons that are 8.5-9 range...maybe a few 10s...just real sharp. Will likely build a raw set.
Appreciate the comments and hope you enjoyed the rip pics.

This was awesome. Thank you, Steve.

I couldn't agree more. I love looking at my mint '68 set.
