Where can I find coin supplies

AlexinPAAlexinPA Posts: 1,458 ✭✭✭✭✭

I have some old ANA photo grade slabs and wondered if there was anyone selling a folder for these. I checked EBay and the net and haven't had any luck. I have two ANACS in two 5 1/2" x 4" brown folders. I would appreciate any help and/or suggestions.

I'm a little confused on what your question is, If you are asking about the brown vinyl portfolio type holders that have a pocket to slip the ANA photo cert and another one to slip the coin into, I don't think those have been widely used since the 1980s, so I not sure if they are still made, hopefully someone else will know for sure. Before PCGS and slabs they made a nice presentation. If this is not what you are referring too please disregard.

Exactly what I was looking for. Can't seem to find anything even close.

Those might be kind of hard to find, hopefully they still make them and someone on the board will know where to get them. They do make a really nice presentation, but if I remember correctly some were made with soft plastic which can have PVC, if so I don't think I would put coins them unless they are in a good capsule.

    I hope you find them.

Check this link to Lighthouse. When I posted the one above I didn't realize it wasn't the main list of coin supplies.

    https://www.lighthouse.us/collect-coins/

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

Sorry ms70 but I jut couldn't find anything matching it and I searched quite a bit. Thanks for all the help; either I'm really slow or there's nothing on the web to match it.

Still searching but no luck. Anyway, thanks for your help. I tried a photo album to put all of them in but the coin would not let the plastic cover sheet close right. Thanks again, I do appreciate the help.

Might be a long shot but try posting on the bst someone might have some they want to sell. Coin collectors can be packrats so it's worth a try.

I came across a board where someone was asking about these. The reply was: "We returned the coin and photo certificate only; everything else was after market."

Wizard is good, but he is looking for a specific type of photo cert holder that was popular over 30 years ago, I don't think Wizard carry's them.

    You can try chiefcoinsupply.com

They are based in Wisconsin. I have never bought from them but a friend of mine once recommended them to me.
