Just added this Standing Liberty Quarter variety to my Variety Type Set.

Its the 1928-S/S FS-502 PCGS63FH. Nice coin for the grade and is featured in CoinFacts for the Variety. There are several die markers for this variety including a D/C from stem thru N (IN) on the obverse and a D/C from S1 to S2, another D/C thru top of left wing. A bump under S (PLURIBUS). Die scratches right of 3rd Star under Eagle and die scratches thru QUARTER on the reverse. Thanks for looking and comments welcome as always.

Very nice addition Jon... and those several anomalies make it even more interesting. Cheers, RickO
The bump under the S in PLVRIBVS seems to be transfer of the obverse design through the planchet to the reverse as the dies wear. You can also see the outline of Liberty's head around the middle lower star and perhaps an outline of the shield in the lower right field.

Very nice!
Very nice looking Type III (recessed date) Standing Liberty Quarter. There are not many varieties in the SLQ series.

Very nice coin.
This is just part of my Variety Type Set......not doing the whole series.
My wife's favorite quarter design. Me too!

For a dimeman, you are certainly putting together a nice collection of quarters.
Very nice
Excellent eye appeal.
Lovely look, thanks for sharing! The ornate design of this wonderful series camouflages marks, so I think you get more bang for your buck with SLQs in 63-4 than any other silver coin in the same grades, imo.
Very Nice!
No doubt an interesting series, and a very interesting coin.
I believe all coinage was struck better in 1928 with the introduction of chromium plated dies.
