Help /Advice from Lincoln Cent Lovers

My late father left me a coin hoard which included dozens of rolls of mint red cents from 1955-1963.
The only wheats are 1955-S’s. Most are memorials from 1959-63.
While none of these are rare, my hope was to find a few 67’s for some big money. I have gotten several dozen 66’s reds.
My “fantasy” was to grade the best, sell them all and use the proceeds for a few box of 20 classic coins to leave as a legacy to my sons, now in their 20’s and grandchildren.
I just don’t have the eye to tell 65’s from 66’s from 67’s as my eyes have weakened over the last few years. I am 57.
The thought of selling any of the rolls for greysheet bid pains me as I got mid teens each for the graded 66’s several years ago after a bulk grading.
Any thoughts? Anyone willing to help for a cut of the proceeds? Am I crazy for trying?

I think it’ might be worth trying but it’s also fun and great grading practice. I did this for one roll of 1954 cents and an entire canvas bag of 1963-D nickels from my wife’s grandfather. Have you looked at the rolls to see about the general quality? The 61, 62, and 63 generally do not come very nice, especially the D mints.
I would not even bother with the '55-S coins as even MS67's sell for less than $100 in most cases and MS66's for less than the cost to slab; best to just sell those in rolls imo. The memorials can be worth it if you could find any 67's or 66+ coins, my suggestion is to contact Andy at Angel Dee's and see what he would do/charge you to review the lot and submit any potential winners. He is one of the very best when it comes to Lincolns.
My Collection of Old Holders
Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
Will you be hanging on to a few of your father's coins as his legacy to you and your descendants?
My strategy is about collecting what I intend to keep, not investing in what I plan to sell.
Just pass the rolls down to your kids. There's more sentimental value there than actual value. "This is something that was your grandfather's."
I might agree but with a small twist - maybe pass down some graded coins. A slabbed coin is better protected, is a nice presentation, and would be a known quantity. A roll of shiny pennies might end up who knows where once in the hands of a non-collector. The "headaches" you have now would only be magnified for them if they are not collectors.
A couple of months ago I sold my '55-S in PCGS 67RD for $64.01. Before ebay, PayPal, and shipping fees. A very nice coin.
I don't know what to do with many rolls of red cents I have stored. Lately I'm thinking Coinstar.

What kind of help are you looking for? Someone to go over the coins?
That would be ideal.
I’d be happy to take them off your hands for a fair price. What are the rolls you have?
I'll PM you.
