What else could it be? There is no error that it could conceivably be. If not a parking lot coin, then a highway coin, a sidewalk coin where really heavy people walk, etc. etc.

Too much time in the parking lot at Wawa. Peace Roy
Now there is a blast from the past. We don’t have WaWa out in the West. Hmmmm Herr’s chips, hoagies, tastycakes, wawa sweet tea... Nope, just dry Santa Ana winds and 7-11. It is 90 degrees today though.
OP
Your coin is copper and not zinc. You have that going for you. Have you Really Never encountered a coin in a parking lot like this before? Are you pulling our collective leg? Seriously. If not parking lot damage, then it is shrapnel from an ied.
You have that on at least 4 different posts in the past week.

He also "tanks" us regularly.
No worries, @Benito . I am guessing English is not your native language. You don't have to tell us your personal details, but feel free to tell us where you are from if you want to. Maybe you will be able to provide some unique perspective or even translations for the forum.
I guess I should be more understanding, since I'm an immigrant myself (born in Italy), but sometimes it's hard. Like @Aspie_Rocco mentioned, you really don't know if someone is serious or just pulling our collective leg. It just bothers the crap out of me when someone is asking for help on something, you think they would take the time to at least figure out how to spell the subject that he or she is asking for help on. The "tanks", doesn't bother me so much.
My apologies to @Benito for being a bit of a jerk.

Sorry to hear about the illness but the rest of it sounds good (Spain, coin collecting).
I have only been to Barcelona in Spain, but perhaps most Spaniards don't consider that to be truly Spain.

You probably nailed it... Run over by multiple tanks!
I am becoming paranormally good at knowing a thread is about a damaged coin simply by reading a vague title
