A worthy Ebay bidder to block ...tholden1369

Bidder won a coin auction and paid promptly. I received notice that the item was not as described (PCGS holdered coin) it was returned at my expense. I refunded his payment in full the same day it came back (9-20) through Paypal.

On 10-12 I received notification through Paypal that a chargeback was initiated through the buyers financial institution. Had to speak to 5 Paypal reps, each of which acknowledged that the money had been refunded to get the chargeback review dropped.

PayPal is disputing the case with the buyer's credit card company as you have already refunded the transaction.

I understand that PayPal sent you an automated email earlier today. That email incorrectly stated that there was another debit of $342.00 USD in addition to a chargeback fee. You will not incur a fee for this chargeback, and there is no additional debit of $342.00 USD.

Is there a typo in the ID by any chance?

eBay shows "Tholden1369 : Invalid User Id "

Or did they boot him over your incident already?

First letter T should not have been capitalized. Either way I looked it up with the cap T and it still showed him as active.

Been suggested before.

Problem with that is some folks have personal grudges and would put people on there. Also, what someone may consider a blockable offense (literally, just asking ANY question....it's been mentioned here before), others do not. Each case is it's own issue.

Some issues are pretty clearly "block!" types. Others....not so much.

If you don't want to take any chances any more, stop selling on ebay. That's the only way to make sure you won't have an issue with some transaction you have by selling there. Seriously.
