    Fred's count may be off, but the story I heard is they all came from the same person originally. Of course, so did the 1913 LIberty nickels and the 1918 Inverted Jenny....so that doesn't mean the market isn't there. It does, however, mean that there is no point in roll hunting 1958 cents looking for one. As is true for the 1913 Liberty Nickels and the inverted jenny, none has ever been found "in the wild" nor could it be.

    Fred - The 58 DDO is not unique !
    I have personally brought two
    examples to PCGS for grading.
    One graded 65 red and the other
    graded 64 red. Neither was the ESM
    example.

    To the OP... first, welcome to the Boards... I think the side by side comparison that was posted is sufficient to see the difference between a real DDO and your piece. That, plus the decades of experience of the numismatists that post here should be able to convince you straight away. There is a wealth of information on these boards... happy hunting!
