Has anyone here purchased anything from the latest SS Central America recovery?

I did happen to bid on and win an 1855 $1 gold in AU-58 plus the gold dust/flakes. I don't know, something just said I needed it in my collection, kind of like the Saddle ridge coin I got years ago (which I don't regret at all). I'm sure some will say I way overpaid, which is fine. But the mantra is collect what you like and I was fortunate enough to be able to get something from that shipwreck.

I'm waiting on what happens with all those dimes that were found in the wreck, the last i heard is that many of them were in great shape. I'd like to get a hold of one of those too.

I'm also waiting to hear what's going on with some of the silver.

Gold holds up great in salt water, but silver, can be a real ugh

The b&m I go to is owned by the guy that handles all the sales of the newer dives on the ship. I don't know the logistics of which dives are exclusive to who but in any event, there are usually a few different gold coins in the shop from the wreck. I always enjoy looking at those!

I've been back and forth about these coins. Wondering if they will hold thier value or if I should wait and grab one later if prices come down. I wind up looking at them online every week or so, haven't pulled the trigger yet.

This is a nice example that sold this past Saturday. Plus the BP.
