Odd heavy piece of bronze on an old farm that has been giving up assorted relics. Not magnetic, very dense, slightly curved with faint design lines, 7.2mmm thick. I'm thinking a bell shard, gotta be other pieces yet to find. Large fancy button is 32.5mmm with diamond and circle embossed, gold gilt button is 17.5mmm L & Kendrick. Extra rich which is circa. 1840 button manufacturer in Waterbury Conn. Peace Roy

Interesting finds Roy.... That is an interesting chunk of brass...If you find more pieces, maybe it can be determined exactly what it was... A bell shard sounds reasonable... Cheers, RickO
Looks very old. From the old copper mines in Canada?
