There are literally dozens of varieties for the Minn. extra trees. Your pictures need to be a little better.
@mas3387 has graded hundreds of these. If he chimes in, you might get a better idea of what to look for.

    Later, Paul.

there are over 100 kinds - most look like an extra branch to me
    look here -> varietyvista.com/09c%20WQ%20Vol%203%20States/DDR%20Listings%20Quarters.htm

and good luck finding your extra tree

    Your focus area is here
    ( ddr 033 example )

We Need better pictures. Do you have an iPhone?
It’s like hunting on eBay. I’ll roll the dice and say (guess) this one #83.
Most look like a die chip to me.

As a Jefferson collector I’m stunned with the attention this quarter got.
I own one of these mini-sodas in Pcgs sp66 ddr 033 and it is not an impressive variety. Even with my microscope.

The 1981 D DDR Nickel is much more obvious. How much would it cost to get a “minor Variety” on one of the 81 Ds?

Shamelessly promoting Jefferson Nickels since 2016,
    Rocco

Below link is to the MN DDR's that PCGS does recognize. I believe PCGS recognizes up to DDR-068 for the P and DDR-007 for the D

From pics can not tell anything.. Sorry :-(
We have helped assemble several complete graded sets.. Working on grading more, just not enough hours in the day!!

I think I bought about 20 - 30 Mint Sets that year. I opened up one and it had the Extra Tree Error. I think I opened up 4 more and they all had the error. I got bored and stopped opening. What to do? Maybe one day open em all up and Coin Star em all ?

I didn't mark the 2x2 holder so im just trying to figure out if it is or isn't.
The other side is marked $50.00, so if its something great....if it's nothing special its going to get circulated.

I dont see anything in the area where the extra tree is supposed to be.
This coin has a little something about 4 trees to the right.

I'll try and get some good pictures outside the holder.

Your target area is way off, nothing in that area. Most occurred around the 4th tree to the right
    of the state design.

    That's what I am thinking.
Looks like a regular quarter and im not seeing an extra tree quarter.
It came from a delinquent safety deposit box auction,
    Previous owners wishful thinking?

I'll take it to the next coin meeting as a conversation piece and see if someone else sees what I dont.

So are those "extra tree" errors worth anything? I must have received 2 orders totaling 20 or 30 sets and upon checking maybe 5 Sets - every one of them had the error. If those errors had much interest it would seem to me that a US Mint Set containing one would be a real winner. Imagine a Set with a 55 DDO Lincoln or a 72 DDO. OK, an extreme comparison.......... but it's nice to dream with your Coins .

    🙄 🤣
