New Cherry Pick and update for my set. Unattributed PCGS 1911 D/D RPM 1 AU 55
How about zinc with copper cladding?
Only if you take the batteries outta that thing

Collector of randomness. Photographer at PCGS. Lover of Harry Potter.
I’m pretty sure this was the auction’s description. But purchased from CRO.
I just like the auction write up
Virginia. Richmond. Beck's Public Baths. HT-441, Low-275. Copper. Rarity-3. AU-58 (NGC). Plain edge. Struck medal turn.
A marvelous example of this great token variety. On the obverse is a nude woman bather seated facing right with legs testing the water.
The reverse has BECK'S PUBLIC BATHS around, RICHMOND at center.
An extremely popular token for its risqué and artistically rendered bather obverse.
This is one of the most desirable of all 19th-century American tokens.
Most of these are found well circulated,
The Dice & Hicks Mint State example sold for $16,100 to one of America's leading long-time numismatists, who had never had the opportunity to compete for an Uncirculated example. Again, we expect a great deal of interest and excitement as this crosses the block. It is likely that the opportunity to compete for a Mint State example will not occur again anytime soon.

Die punch analysis confirms these dies were engraved by James Bale of New York, and were obviously sent to Virginia where the public baths were located from 1832 until 1844.

Nice copper everyone.
I picked up another piece for my set recently. I just may finish it one day.

@cardinal
What an exquisite piece. Can you share some details about this work of art?

The piece is an original period piece of the Waterloo Medal, all of which were electrotypes from the dies. The medal is enormous -- 140mm in diameter, and this particular one weighs 23 troy ounces! The dies were so large, there was not a press at the time that could safely produce struck medals, so the only impressions of the original dies are found in electrotypes. Typically, those originals are seen as two separate electrotypes - one for the obverse and one for the reverse -- but this one has the two assembled together, with a seam seen along the edge.
The Waterloo Medal was commissioned by Great Britain's King George IV, to commemorate the defeat of Napoleon at Waterloo in 1815, and struck medals were to be awarded to the generals that brought the victory. The artist behind the medal was Italian born Benedetto Pistrucci, and he worked on the dies from 1819 up until 1849! Yes! 30 Years to create the dies. By the time the dies were ready, virtually all of the intended recipients were already dead.
The central portraits on the obverse show the 4 victorious Kings - George IV of Great Britain, Emperor Francis I of Austria, Tsar Alexander I of Russia and King Frederick William III of Prussia. The surrounding figures represent symbols of Peace. The center of the reverse shows Wellington and Blucher on horseback, defeating all those that fell before them, seen surrounding the victors.
Amazing! Thanks cardinal .
Yes, thank you!

OINK
Wow @Flatwoods your collection is coming along nicely. This recent pickup looks incredible!!
Is it as light as the image? Or did you need to brighten it up a bit. I don’t think I have seen one that isn’t on the darker side.

Thanks Stephanie.
I appreciate the question too. I knew the color was right but I went back and lowered the exposure some.
It gave me a much crisper image. Sometimes (most of the time) I'm in a hurry and don't do as well as I should.
I'll post the old pic first followed by the new one.
That is amazing @Flatwoods Really beautiful
