PCGS Gold Shield Coins
Hi everyone,
Just curious if its possible to look up the picture on a gold shield coin? Have a copper Lincoln I'm looking at with a certain grade but wondering if the current verdigris was present during grading... Or how I can tell coin condition at grading versus how its current condition is... That's the downside of collecting copper coins for sure....
Thanks

Thanks... I was looking for it because I know you check for counterfeits, just didn't look in the right spot..Apologize for the dumb question..

if one doesn't ask questions how can they learn?

Thanks everyone!

All,
Thanks for your welcome... Got my mind wondering on your thoughts for "Added Value" to a coin you submit with "Gold Shield" or say you buy a coin with "Gold Shield"... How much credit does one give it other then knowing we have some pics to refer to?

Welcome MS67!
I can't speak for anyone else or the market as a whole, BUT, I can tell you that I personally PREFER coins graded with PCGS Gold Shield or a PCGS TrueView when I am shopping online. I will pay a bit more for the ones I want. I often see things in the PCGS pics that I cannot see in the seller's pics. Just my 2 cents

Roger,
Kinda my thoughts as well...If I go to sell one.. well there's absolutely no shady pictures there right? Amazes me at the number of doctored pics on ebay.
