I regret parting with my Covina note (Ch.8222, S/N 15).. but this is a new acquisition for me.

    I wish I could collect Southern California nationals but it gets too pricey and I have enough on my plate as it is.

    Here in one I have since had graded. This was handed down to me by my father who received it from from his father.

    Great Southern Californian National Bank note @SEMPERFISILVERANDMORE .

    Interesting trivia, Calexico has a nearby sister city, Mexicali, which also uses a combination of the names California and Mexico.

    I would love to know the story of how my grandfather obtained this. He was born early 1900 in Brooklyn New York. This note and a $10 Gold Note were in his belongings when he passed in the 1980’s. My dad’s sister passed these notes along to him along with a few other of his personal items.

    Sold to Coops Coins out here in Redlands. Currently for sale there, $1000. So many So Cal notes have flooded the market in recent months.
