That happens a lot more than what people think. Especially if there is no documentation of what should go to whom (will and other estate planning docs) then it will be fought over in probate and the only people who will win are the attorneys.

Start your estate planning if you haven't already! Anyone can get a will, POA, Healthcare Agent and Living will done for $250.

No, my kids are great and love each other dearly.

They Know what I have and how to sell it wisely if they want.

I’ve have already earmarked my collection and have spoke with my family directly on the subject.
They will not fight over anything of mine. At least I’d hate to imagine that would ever happen.

My two sons (27 and 25) are already in training for a WWE Smack Down, Cage Match bout to take place on pay per view the week after I am planted in the ground for a dirt nap to see who will inherit my collection. >:)

No, at least I hope not. I left them an equal cash inheritance with a provision that if they contest the will they don't get anything.

Everything else goes to my girlfriend of 15 years, so they will probably sit in a safe deposit, until her time comes, then I have no idea. I did leave instructions with the coins, just in case she decides to sell them.

Not unless I croak suddenly, otherwise they will all be sold off - with the exception of coins that have been in the family for a very long time.

It's been decided....no fighting over the collection. The winner will be chosen by a coin flip. :#

That's a really wise idea. I never really thought of a living will...but should definitely consider doing one. Thanks!!!!

No they wont fight over them but I'm afraid dealer or auction house will steal them for pennies on my dollar.

Negative, they could care less about coins. they will however squabble over the worthless green and white pile of toilet paper that the ole stack will be exchanged for. Tweet on. Semper fi.

I only have one daughter, so fortunately there will be no one to squabble with her over my collection. If I don't die suddenly, I may sell off my collection before passing. If I pass suddenly and leave it to her, she would likely not sell it as it is something that was mine and gave me a lot of enjoyment and therefore she would not be able to part with it. She is very sentimental that way.

I believe wills can be contested in court and also are public .... a trust cannot be contested in court and is private. At least that’s what my attorney indicated.
