Raw Vintage Set

I have a few 1960's vintage football sets in binders. It works great. Here is how:

1. Place card in card saver 1 - you've already done that.
2. Place card saver 1 in a Perfect Fit PSA sleeve.
3. Place PSA sleeve into an Ultra Pro platinum 4 pocket page with the glue strip facing forward.
4. Fold the PSA sleeve down over the front of the pocket to secure the sleeve to the page.
5. Place the Ultra Pro platinum page into an archival methods, archival grade d ring binder. You'll likely need 2 of the 2.5 inch binders for 500 card set. I also buy the binder with a slip cover to protect the pages from light, dust, etc.

I can post a scan of a page if you'd like to see it. It's great to be able to page through the set and enjoy it. At the same time, the cards are better protected vs 9 pocket pages.

The nice part of the 4 pocket page approach in the binder is that if you have some graded cards, you can store them along with the set (although I do put them on their own pages due to thickness):

You can see how the PSA perfect fit sleeve is used to hold the card to the page. You might be able to get away without them, YMMV, however, I use them to be assured that the card will not slide out when the page is turned or if the album is tilted the wrong way. Here's the back of the same page:

I'd like to upgrade the Jim Cadile over time. LOL

I think you'd be able to store approximately 60 pages per album, possibly a few more (assuming no graded card pages). So that's 240-250 or so. Most of the football sets I collect are 198, 170, but the 1969 set is 263. 263 was a few too many pages for the 2.5 inch Archival Methods binder (in my opinion).

Seems like it would be better to turn the card around so the flap of the perfect fit would be on the back...but of course you'd have to look at everything backwards.
