Yahoo does auto renew now for fantasy leagues, so if you log into your Yahoo account and go to Fantasy baseball, there should be a link there to the league.

The live draft is currently set for tonight for 9 pm EST, but at least one team from last year who is not returning this year (ugaskidawg) is still registered. That needs to be corrected.

Just did and I'm not seeing anything. I went to my other Yahoo account and the leagues I was in last year are showing up. Can someone send me another invite? Or if you can send the invite to dock16@sbcglobal.net

I saw ugaskidawg in there. It looks like he signed in and re-upped. I haven't heard from him. I guess we'll just have to see if he live drafts.

No, Yahoo automatically reups every team from last season now, whether they plan to play or not. (I am a fantasy football commissioner and know this firsthand.) If a team is not returning, the commish must remove tem manually.

The max number of teams listed under league settings is 14. It looks like we would have to delete a team in order for anyone to accept an invitation

Yes. Or remove two teams to make it 12. Otherwise a team will have a bye each week if we remove only ugaskidawg. Either way, we have to delete him because his team will be taking players on autodraft. At least remove him now.

After logging in, from yahoo sports, click on Fantasy, then fantasy Baseball and it will take you to the 2018 league.

So now we need either ugaskidawg removed and replaced by lawyer05 or we need to just remove ugaskidawg or remove ugaskidawg and another team to avoid byes. But we need to remove UGA because he's not going to play and we can't have his team taking up players.

I don't think this is correct. There would need to be 26 weeks for everyone to have an equal number of bye weeks. From past experience if a league has an odd number of teams the league page will say you can not draft until you have an even number of teams

I removed ugaski and checked with Jeff (SonOfA) about sitting out. He's okay with dropping out for this season.

I removed those two teams, so it LOOKS LIKE we'll have 12 now.

I added two bench spots to keep the player pool about the same size.

With 12 teams are we still going with 8 playoff teams? Also, with a $600 pot I would says payouts should be something like:
Regular season champion $100, Playoff champion $300, runner-up $150, 3rd $50

We should do 6 teams in playoffs, with top 2 teams getting byes. 8 teams in too many. JMO.

Payouts look good to me.

Well, considering there are two less teams this year, I think the payouts will have to change. I made the proposal five months ago but only Tim said anything at the time. I rather we figure it out with two weeks to go than after the fact.

It's safe to assume that I'll lead wire to wire and then lose in the first round (instead of having a bye) because I didn't decrease the playoff teams.

So, that'll be fun.
