E-Bay Sellers Check Your Actual Sales Prices Vs List Price
I listed a toned silver eagle late last week for $99.00 https://ebay.com/itm/123271901391?ul_noapp=true. It sold over the weekend. I didn't really look at the price, but when I went to pick the coin out of the eagle box, I always look at the pricing on my sticker and compare to the price on the E-Bay invoice.
To my surprise the coin sold for $95.00 (the sold listing shows $99.00, but the invoice generated shows $95.00). There was no promotion, no discount given (it was a buy it now), and no make an offer. I went to PayPal, and the amount paid was $95.00.
Seemed kind of odd, and it was a small difference, but I wanted to see if we did anything wrong. Called E-Bay and they put me on hold for about 10 minutes after I explained what was going on. Thy came back and said there was no explanation for why the buyer was able to buy the coin below my list price. They refunded me $4.00.
Just a heads up to double check as it could have easily happened on a more expensive coin or had a larger gap in the price realized.

@Elemint I think you can click on the word "listing". It's a link that will take you to the original listing.
That is troubling to be sure. On 2 counts. First, that it happened. But even more troubling that they have no explanation.

Maybe the $4 was Buyer's ebay bucks -- and ebay somehow neglected to reimburse you before you caught it.
Anyway, thanks for the heads-up.

No Ebay bucks. And it did not sell for $99 even though it shows that. That’s the whole point of this thread.
Ebay had no explanation

feepay is suffering glitches galore on virtually every element of the platform. Things like pics disappearing, price changes, no emails for buyers / sellers, buyers unable to pay, the listing form crashing, etc. Sellers mention them daily on the feepay boards.
I think ebay trying to steal money from the seller. Thanks for sharing this. I really need to check my paypal account from now on. I never check before.
After reading this thread last night, I did a thorough review of my ebay seller's account "Site Preferences".
Lo and behold, "Offer combined payments and shipping" (under "Shipping Preferences") was a NO.
Say what? I thought I'd selected YES for that option long ago. I fixed it immediately.
Received a combined order today... makes me wonder how many combined orders I might've missed.

On eBays terapeak of sold items, is shows as being sold for $95:
They like to discount information I tell them , too. And they love to gig me for silly infractions built into their system. Like a strike against me when it is the postal service causing delivery issues and delays.
There's not much I hate, but those in charge of a venue that holds me responsible for theirs/ and other entity's ' ineptitude.
And I've been a top rated, power seller for 15 years. They still won't accept the fact they have issues beyond me. Not to mention their stock sucks.
