Charles III issues are fun to collect and, if you are patient, a complete date run in AU grade is achievable. With the exception of 1776 and rare varieties, these haven't appreciated much during the last decade.
As a king and perhaps as a person (to the extent we can perceive from this distance in time), Charles III was one of the best of a very mixed bunch of Spanish rulers. His successful rule made this a kind of golden, but autumnal, era in the Spanish Empire. I have some nice Charles III eight reales, most sold to me by Richard Long via his auctions about 15-20 years ago.
Charles III issues include both pillar, bust and transitional types so it makes for a more interesting assortment if you collect by date -- 1760-1789 (or up to 1791 if you include posthumous busts with Charles IV legends) .

These early years in high grade are not easy to find. The Carolus IV is a top pop .
I give away money. I collect money.
I don’t love money . I do love the Lord God.
