One of my favorite antique silver dealers, Wax Antiques in London, is moving to the famed "London Silver Vaults"--a huge underground marketplace for rare and antique silver objects first opened in 1885.
Wax is where I got this tankard by 18th century London silversmith Jacob Marsh. It's nearly 30 troy ounces and has a huge presence.

I went a little bit heavy. Dealer offered this all at .50 cents over so I splurged.

Had a nice eBay score this week...
Even though I made out money wise, I was saddened to find it had been repaired.
Anyway, it still went to a good home and I made a few bucks.

I was in complete "awe" when I seen all of this! Very ,very, very beautiful collection.
This was the pin sample from a 450 oz lot of scrap. They thought it was all silver. It was bought that way at least. Sadly I cannot refine this size of lot in house I have to ship it out to our refiner.
No images of the lot just the assay. If all works out I should net 11.25ozt of gold extra.
Sadly its works and not mine. Although I might get a kick back for catching it.
I have his big brother! This came in the store front a few years ago and I had to have it. Not to add to the set!

Thanks shinywhite. I probably overpaid but it's what I had to do on these "had to have" Sets. The dealer said those gold and silver producing Set had not been opened in 25+ years. When I aksed him, what's those buried over there in the corner of the showcase and he opened them, we both about fell out of our chairs LOL

I bought all 3 of them on the same day. The dealer was pulling stuff out he had buried for years and I wasn't about to stop him from doing so LOL, because it was one thing after another that was blowing me away. I stepped up and bought these 3 out of about 8-9 incredible assorted sets.
