X-over and CAC question

So I have a proof quarter in an NGC PR68 holder with a green bean on it. I tried to x-over with our host and it DNC. So now I am contemplating on a crack out. I am afraid it will grade a PR67, not that it is not a great coin but it is just my luck that it will downgrade to a 67. The price for a 67 is about $500, a 67+ is $1,400 and a 68 is about $4K. I paid about $1,500 for it so I would be OK with a 67+.
So my question is if CAC green beaned the coin as a 68 and the coin came back as a PCGS 67, can I submit it to CAC with photos in the original holder and will they give it a gold bean?
Thanks for your comments in advance.

Doubt it, but ask them. There were instances here where a 64 CAC bumped to 66 and got a bean at 66 too.
Once you remove a coin from its slab, all bets are off.

Don’t crack - submit for crossover with a minimum grade of 67+
As far as the CAC question goes - probably not a guarantee of a gold but it wouldn’t hurt to submit images and request a gold
This post begs the question of what is your goal? If you want to sell it, keep it as is and you’ll make a profit. If you want it in a PCGS registry set then do the above
TDN,
It is for my registry set. Not trying to get the top set or anything but I would like to get into the top 10. So I need at least a 67+. So I will probably play it safe and request a 67+ minimum grade.
Thanks for the advise, I had not thought about requesting a min grade.

I don’t know how hard these are to find but you could sell it to CAC and then buy a PCGS graded one.
Assuming CAC is buying those. Does anyone have access to the exchange?

What's the Vegas "line" on that bet?
Don't crack it. Too risky. As tight as PCGS has been lately it might come back as a 66.
PCGS is very conservative with crosses. Too much is obscured by the plastic and prongs.
Better to cross with a minimum grade. Maybe later try a "regrade" once it's in PCGS plastic. That way the current grade is protected and the coin will be graded raw, where its chances are best for a bump.
Lance.
This or try the BST.
Just sell it (to CAC or others) and buy a PCGS 68. That’s my opinion.

Kinda small and fuzzy. (Edited to add that my tongue-in-cheek comment was made when no pics were actually shown. Sorry for the sarcasm...)
Smitten with DBLCs.
I'd keep it as is, good luck !!!
Wow thought seen it all - Take downgrade, lose sticker just bc of registry? That’s like throwing money away in street lol. I mean you wb hosing yourself big time!
I could care less about registry vs bottom line MV of my coins.
If your unhappy with the coin sell it as is but don’t take downgrade (about 70 pct MV loss!).
