Here are my Cut Autos

and it's taken me this long to finally post them. They look gorgeous and I want to say thank you again to Alifaxwa2 for his amazing work on most of them.

In no particular order:

I'll have to say that my favorite out of this bunch is the Mays...it just looks so clean.

What's your favorite?

I like the Mays as well, mainly because the cuts "cut" into the action of the rest of the cards except Gehringer. The dark red background and the action swing make it. however, they are all a nice way to take a boring cuts and make it more pleasing to the eye.

how big are the cards? the 56 styles look oversized a bit, are they?

Hi all,

They are all oversized except for the Ryan. When I asked Jeffrey to design them, I didn't mind the size so long as it looked "right." All of them are in the same size holder except for the Ryan and the Musial (which was too big for a regular size holder, but not big enough for the holder the rest are in.)

The 56 are 3.5x5. Nearly the exact same proportions as a regular card.

Hi everyone,

Just got this in the mail from Jeffrey (allifaxwa2). Once again spectacular work...looking forward to more autos in the future.

I picked the '65 design because the Ali/Liston took place in '65. The back is awesome as well! Now I just need to get it re-slabbed like the others.

On the Ali card I'd nitpick auto position - would want the auto more between Ali's knees and groin
this way you could see the fallen Liston as Ali towered above him triumphantly.
Would make it appear he was "signing off" that he was the greatest on a fallen Liston
Semantics I know-- but if I'm gonna want an auto- that one looks amazing would just tweek it a hair !!

Here are my two latest from Jeffrey (allifaxwa2). Due to the size of the autos, we decided to go with the T3 size. Going to sub them on Saturday at the Long Beach Expo along with the Ali.

Hi everyone,

I received my autos back from PSA this week. I have a couple disappointments, but overall I am happy with the turnaround time and the T3 size look great.

Here are my disappointments, please let me know if you can help with suggestions to get them fixed.

The Ali should have been slabbed in the same size holder as the above "56" style autos. I'm not sure as to why it was slabbed in the larger T3 holder, unless it was because the other two were slabbed in the same size. To get this fixed, will this end up coming out of my pocket?
I believe I was charged the addition $30 for the "Jumbo" holder, but the "Jumbo" holder wasn't used. Would an email or phone call help fix the situation?

No matter what, the autos look great. Thanks again Allifaxwa2!

To answer the ?s:

1) Holder choice is up to the holder-er, and not considered a mech error that would be free to fix. You can send it for a reholder a pay and include a note requesting a different sized holder and they will take that into consideration, but ultimately it's at the discretion of the holder-er, so you might get it back looking the same and be out the fee.

2) Yes, call CS, they'll set you up if you overpaid.

Maybe you said this in a post and I missed it, but where did the cuts come from? Did you take them out of a card, or just buy the cuts?

Hi,
All of the autos were purchased as some type of slabbed index card. I then send that auto to Alifaxwa2 and he works on a design and then ultimately takes the auto out of the slab and puts it into the new “custom card.”

My brother was an art/illustration major in college. I typically don't ask him to create anything for me, but he started dabbling in baseball art during the pandemic. Here is his first try at a cut auto. I got it back in time for Christmas. He said he doesn't want to do anymore cut autos...too much pressure of messing up the auto. I'll start a separate post about his baseball art.
