PWCC Has anyone sent cards to PWCC and then where sold as lots instead as individuals items ?

But I do have a question.

Did you sign a contract (online or other) to consign with PWCC.

If so. Could there be something in there about how they "group" your cards if "not" specified?

I can't believe without your consent that they "group lot'ed" your cards.

If you think you lost some dough over this? It's worth asking for compensation.

It seems like you would have to explicitly specify as group vs single and get approval for them to be listed as a group.

What's your estimate on the individual value of the cards contained in the lot? If it's real low dollar graded stuff that would be lucky to hit $5 then maybe it was a mercy lotting. The minimum consignment fee for a single graded card is $5 plus 10%. So maybe it's possible they didn't want you owing them money after a bunch of individual sales and lotted it in a way that could get you something for the cards.

Also, how did you write up the stuff that you were giving them.

They had listed the same cards for and gotten $20 to $30
I would not have sent them if i was gonna loose money

From my experience, I use Probstein for individual graded cards that sell for less than $100 each and PWCC for everything else of values greater than $100. Still with that being said, if the lot of graded cards are all from the same set or of the same player then registry buyers may drive the price higher than the total if sold individually.

After your previous posts about PWCC, I'm frankly surprised you'd consign with them.

For lower end product, I believe Probstein is the more viable option if you are patient.

Seems to me they did you a favor, no? Grouping the cards reduces your commissions considerably, and shipping to one buyer. Myself, I prefer lots far more than singles, but I'm an outlier.

Keep in mind costs have gone up everywhere, even in Lake Oswego. It doesn't scale any longer to scan, pack, ship, pay taxes, e-bay fees, collect, etc. anything less than $10 for these AH's, unless you have employees working for peanuts.

I would propose Probstein is considering these lower tier cards lost leaders. Hard to imagine he's making any money once you factor in all the time, effort, non-payers, etc. COMC has strength in numbers, but look for their fees to go up soon also.

Mom and pop e-bay sellers don't factor in their time, so they are always making money if you ask them.

Can we know the type or actual cards that were bulked? I have had probstein do something similar where I sent cards in specific groups and they ended up "re-gouping" my cards into an order they thought made more sense. It was the last time I sent them anything fwiw.

Everyone knows that PWCC auctions end up in higher price for whatever the reason.

Did you refer to them as something like a lot of 20 cards and assumed they'd be run individually, but then they saw "lot" and assumed that your lot meant run them as a lot. Regardless of any difference of interpretation on the submission form, you had the opportunity to review the listings for your items prior to them going live. All you had to do was go in and look and see it wasn't the way you meant for them to be listed.

I didn't group the cards .. I sent the cards to be sold individually.
Even if the card would have ended with a value of $10 dollars. I dont mind paying the $5 dollars plus the 10% or 15% whatever ...

I did se the review and told them not to list them individually
