How many Nationals have you attended?

I was reading an article where there are 3 individuals (John Rumierz, Pat Quinn, BA Murry) who hold the distinction to have held tables at "ALL" 38 past NSCC's. So, I thought it would be an interesting statistic to see where we fall?
Mike
How many Nationals have you attended?
This is a private poll: no-one will see what you voted for.

I think around 10 but I will have to double check.
ETA: Yes, I was correct--10 since 1998 so 10 of the last 20.

Hiya, Mike,
I think the results should be interesting. I'm thinking most will fall in the 1-5, but we will see. I have attended 4 myself, but none in the last 4 or 5 years.

I've been to the last three, unfortunately will miss this years but will be back in Chicago next year.
.
I think it's been 8 (definitely 6), basically every Cleveland and Chicago show since I first started going to them. Problem is I can't remember when I started going!

5 (Chicago and Cleveland twice each as well as Atlanta.)
5 - '11, '13, '14, '15, '17 and heading to Cleveland on August 1.
Thanx for the responses guys!
I'm happy with Cleveland and then back to Chicago.
Atlantic City? Not sure but will want to attend.
My first National was in Atlanta - 1992.
edit: the 1 vote of 16-20 is impressive.
Started at the one in Cleveland in 1997 and then did Chicago, Anaheim, Atlanta, Cleveland again up until around 2004. Took a hiatus and started again in Cleveland in 2013ish and have done every one since so my total is around 12 or so. Now it is like Christmas in July/August and won’t miss it.

Thanx Donato - I'm going to say hi to the 3 "perfect attenders" this year.
Mike,
My first one was also Atlanta in 1992. How many have you been to?
James
Hiya James
I'm disappointed to admit - only 3.
Was hard to get free while in the Army and even harder for the first decade after retirement.
Now? It's something truly fun to look forward to every year.
Mike,
Only twice for me:
1988 - Atlantic City
2016 - Atlantic City

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

That was me, Mike. First one was 1998 in Chicago, years before I joined DACW, and haven't missed one since. Every year, the National dates are the first items I put on the calendar. Can't see missing one ever, unless Dale Murphy makes the Hall of Fame while he's still alive.

As I said - that's impressive.
Ya know? Based on the total number of people who responded, I'm guessing that the number of [none] would be much higher if people took the time to vote?
None, but maybe this year as I have family just down the road and might try and swing by a day, it would be a cool trip down memory lane, but I would have to come in with a bag of quarters so I don't overspend
Work in progress - Unopened Racks/Cello/Wax with star power for Baseball, Football and Basketball
Collecting unopened 80's boxes and graded packs
I may be hoarding too much 80's junk wax but I like it!
Anyone in the 6-10 are "Veterans" IMO.
None. But a 50/50 shot for this year.
Every one since 2012. Looking forward to seeing you in Cleveland soon Mike.

Collecting Unopened from '72-'83; mostly BBCE certified boxes/cases/racks.
Prefer to buy in bulk.
13 in the bag for me. This year will be #14.

Always looking forward to seeing you Mike!
It'll just be me.
Best of luck on that Paul.
Wow Mike that's pretty good - hope to see you.
That's quite a statistic John.
I have been to two, Chicago and Cleveland.
Hi Mike
I started setting up at the 1996 National in Anaheim and haven't missed one since.
I truly look forward to seeing everyone there this year. I will have my typical booth location in the second group of quads nearest the VIP entrance. Keep in mind in Cleveland, there are two entrances both on opposite sides of the hall - it's a HUGE venue!

i think this will be my 10th not exactly sure but have done the last cleveland and chicagos and a baltimore in between the last two setting up as a dealer and i love meeting all the group members and new people i will be set up in both 1616,1620 if youd like to stop by and say hi...terry
First time in 2004 (Cleveland), and this one coming up (also in Cleveland) will be my 13th. Enjoyed them all, and every single one significantly improved my collection and simultaneously depleted my card-collecting budget.
Will be stopping by Terry.
Do you have a wantlist Andy?
I don't but may consider looking for a few items.
My main focus - BB board games was a success last year - picking up a mechanical game that was for sale 2 yrs before but I didn't have a check or cash - would be nice if all took credit cards.
Best of luck!
Been to the last 3 and will be attending Cleveland. Hopefully never miss another, it’s my yearly get away from Australia!
thanks mike look forward to seeing you guys again it was a pleasure to see you last year
Are there dealers there that only specialize in raw cards or is everyone on the graded card train?
Hi Mike,
Yes, there are definitely cards high up on my wantlist that I'm specifically looking for at the National. And as I said, I've never gone home disappointed.
Here's a couple of examples from last year in Chicago: I went up there looking for a Ruth, and the Kaline RC I saw on eBay as a BIN and asked the dealer if he was planning to bring it to the National.
For the right price Andy - that Kaline is as nice as any 8 on the planet.
Hi everyone
Thanx for responding.
Looks like almost half of us have experienced the National.
That's pretty darn good.
4--'08, '13, '16, '17 and this year
Hi ya Mike !!
Right back at ya Manny.
Looking forward to seeing you in few.
None for me. I've been building it up in my mind so much since the late 90s when I first heard about it that if I do ever get there I will probably be disappointed, lol. I was hoping to go this year to celebrate my 30th anniversary in the hobby, but it looks like I won't be able to afford it. Just another in a long line of disappointments in my life, unfortunately. I'm used to it by now but it still is tough to accept.
Sorry to hear that Billy - perhaps next year?
It's like going to the state fair - once a year there's something really big to look forward to and attend.
I wish it would come to Boston. They built a huge convention center. But, it's only for trade shows.
Atlantic City is about 4 hours closer to home, so maybe....
