An all NGC set ended tonight. Some of the coins brought good money. Any thoughts?

Just wow on the 32! BTW That 21K is without the buyers fees!

Neat to see that kind of hammer price, but regardless of what TPG slab that coin is in.....I don't see a 67 coin.

Really not a fan of that toning on the 32, looks ugly to me, imho
I am quite sure the buyer likes it though

I wonder what JA's bid on the 32' is.

I loved the 1932-P from this collection. When the owner purchased it (almost 20 years ago), he recalled it being the first graded 67 at both services. Nice it's still in the original fatty NGC holder.

The prices were extremely strong for the collection. Unfortunately, the NGC Price Guide has high prices for most 20th Century coins, so when compared to the NGC Guide, it might just look okay, but compared to actual market, they did extremely well.

No one here should comment on a coin with out actually seeing it in hand. The 1932 realized good money because it was a great coin. Images are deceiving!

But if you guys spook off the new owner of the 1932, thank you! I Was an under bidder and would love to buy it for my bid.

To each his own, but $23,600 for a common coin like this is just nuts to me. Even in lofty grades. And for those who have seen it in hand, is that a fingerprint on the obverse, or is that just part of the toning pattern?
I suspect the latter, given the grade but worth pointing out.

Reality is Laura, few of us will see it in hand and whether a coin is a $100 widget or a $20k quarter with unflattering toning, opinions are what we give here.

Although I am a Type collector, I plug away at just one Registry set for pure fun. Silver WQ's

I'll buy any coin, in any holder or raw.
The only exception is high end NGC Washington quarters that I have not seen in person.
I can't take the risk of them not crossing for my Registry set.

It was an nice evening for Washington Quarters.
Congrats to the consignor, auction house and buyers.

At the end of the day, Anna should have a nice wedding.

Gorgeous, high-end originals in old fat slabs that are CAC endorsed.....what's not to like? The coin market is VERY healthy for good coins

If you have seen it in person, you know the coin looked far better then the image. Images can do funny things to nice coins or even make bad coins look great!

Nice prices and I think they should have been crossed first myself. A bit surprised there is not a coin only image along with the slab image in an auction that sold for 23K. If Laura says it's nice, it is.
