synonyms: toxin, toxicant, venom; archaicbane
"a deadly poison"
If he does drink alcohol, my guess is that he drinks it in moderation, i.e. - not to get drunk. I am not an expert, but I assume that the "poison" part comes into play when it is used to excess.
Contrast that with users of certain illegal/legal substances (depending on which state you live in), when EVERY use of it is for the sole purpose of becoming "intoxicated." (The long-term medical effects are yet to be determined).
Stumble down the street drunk, and you are said to have had one too many. Do the same thing while high and you have had exactly the right amount. No offense to anyone, but I just never understood the comparison.
And to keep this post coin related, make sure you keep your head down so you can spot any scuffed up coins on the sidewalk. Then post them on the forum and ask what kind of error they are.

The other is not poisonous and will not make you stumble, it will just make you be amazed at the beautiful wonderful world we live in.
As long as it does not make people see errors where none exist - we have enough of that already.

It is completely legal now in the Great State of California.
As long as you don't want to buy a firearm in Cali. (Is that still legal there?). The federal form you have to fill out asks if you are a user of that substance, and if you say "yes", then they say "no" to your purchase.
There are a number of conundrums being created by states legalizing what is illegal at the federal level.
ms70, so You drink. Please do me a favor and google just how many people die each year from alcohol posioning "A total of 2,200 Americans die from alcohol poisoning each year. "
Do the same for the medicinal plant and you will get Zero.

ms70, Do you drink alcohol (poison)?
Do you complain about the weekend threads on wine parring with coins?
Or complain about a thread on a good bourbon while relaxing and looking at your coins?
Yes I drink. It's not against federal law or any law for that matter. That argument is so invalid and worn out it's pathetic. Tired rhetoric.
...did you breastfeed as an infant?...cause if you did then you 100% got high from the natural cannabinoids found in ALL breastmilk produced by mother...and probably liked it

This is a tired, worn out little game. Drinking is not against the law. Drugs are. Federally. That means everywhere in the U.S. That's my bottom line. If you have a different opinion then so be it.

Yes, I do agree. California, Colorado, etc, has it right. The rest of the USA WILL follow the leaders.
There are the facts and then there are old prejudices that are hard to get over.
You were on a roll - you should have stopped before you got to this.
No doubt being in the private sector and seeing easy $$$ made John Boehner see the light. Not exactly a decision based on principle. Although, he may have figured this stuff would not give him the hangovers he gets from his normal indulgences.

You should try eating them. It's easier to learn than coins.
We eat them roughly 75% of the year thanks to pickling and such. Fresh oysters are amazing and I'll be out foraging tomorrow.

If Col. Klink ever said that it was while he was doing an impersonation of Sgt Schultz.....
Not talking about 420 was a consideration.
But I grew up in SoCal in the 70's.
It is completely legal now in the Great State of California.
It IS medicine.
I just became a 1/3 owner of a consulting business.
The money during the California Gold Rush was made by selling picks and shovels.
One of the services we will be offering besides an hourly consulting fee is selling supplies like gopher cages, organic topsoil, picks, and shovels.

Might I suggest the money will be made selling cookies then?
No that is not in the plan. That's the beauty of our business model, not selling any product, no license by the state.
Not a user but certainly believe the world would be a better place if people were smoking weed instead of drinking alcohol.
