There is a good reason to send a CWT to a TPGS as some very deceptive counterfeits have been on the market for at least the last three years. I suspect even before that as a group of dangerous copper coins have been tracked back to auctions ten years ago!
The reason tokens take so long is they need to be attributed and AFAIK, compared to the second tier services who probably do a little less than 1000 tokens a month, the top two services must be swamped.
I don't think collectors mind the slow speed but to a dealer, you cannot sell what you don't have. Besides accurate grading and authentication, turnaround times are the most important thing a TPGS can provide.

Makes you wonder just how he can do this I am guessing he is connected with a large group to have access to soooooo many interesting tokes, coins ect. I think I been tracking the last 300 sales and just printing out the final cost to win on the bid. Some going for close to $ 800.00 to $1000.00. The man is amazing but I feel safe buying from him.

Just to clarify I listed mine as Economy Special Issue service and NOT the Special Issue as yes that is 40 bucks more. So I dont have to worry about that it is listed as" Economy Special Issue service" in my account. I have also made a PDF copy of that along with my paperwork I am confident that I am under the Economy Special Issue service . I think someone thought I had the other and that is not the case.

Okay, the "Economy Special Issues" is way more cost effective than the "Special Issues" tier, so I'm glad you're not paying that extra cost.
The "Economy" tier is $3 more per item, but is estimated at 20-30 days, versus the "Economy Special Issues" estimated at "up to 60 days." That being said, I don't believe I've ever received my "Economy" orders anywhere close to 30 days, so I wholeheartedly commend you for sending your tokens under the tier you picked!!
Gluggo, as I mentioned, you are not alone. Reasons to do it:

better storage and display
check your grading
I did the same. Received some back today, all were bought raw. 3 from the same auction source you did, and all graded higher then written up. 1 bought raw from LCS (draped flag now MS64) which was bought for $30.
I was very happy with the coins when I bought them. Wanted to see how my grading did versus the sellers and now a TPG and plan to display the slabs in a shelf display. All in all very happy with my decision and the results.
If you want your Civil War Tokens certified, then it is certainly a good idea to submit them.
You have to consider value, you don't want to submit an ordinary token worth $10 as the certification wouldn

So maybe this week as they have now assigned labels to the coins.

OK so they graded them and I thought I would wait and post them and let you decide what the grades are sounds like a plan? It should take it in 3 to 4 days I should have them back. But the good news is ALL 15 of them did grade!

If you really want to make it difficult to cheat then you should cover the cert number as well along with the number directly preceding the cert number as the grade is still on the holder.

I like it. Those are great pieces and for the cost of a couple good dinners you will have them well organized, stored and photo's taken. Well worth it.

So maybe this week as they have now assigned labels to the coins.
Its getting close they have the coins all labeled now. Good thing is work is sooooooo busy that I barely have time to eat, sleep and work let alone look at coins. Refinery is going to shut down for our Bi Annual shut down for 21 to 28 days. Except for that DC gold coin that's a beauty. Heavy little guy. I think any day now.
