Welcome! Pretty much all coins can come nicely toned. Some of the time the premiums will be small, and sometimes they will be enormous. Only you can decide if the coin is worth the cost.

I don't have any and wonder if they're worth the premium.
Learning what to look for and what not in collecting beautifully toned US coins will take a lot of leg work with many failures and successes. Buying certified coins helps. The knowledge I gained led me to dislike certain colors and patterns whether they were certified or not. Unless you become an expert yourself, you will always be relying on other's opinions for which type of toning is AT, artificially toned or NT, naturally toned. Buying beautifully toned US coins from sellers/dealers are seldom worth what they're asking as most prices are inflated because of the high demand for such coins. They're always looking for that fresh meat collector who has overthought the value of such coins. Tread lightly in making your purchases. Don't get frustrated when one gets away. Choose a less popular series to collect some beautifully toned coins which may cost less. There are common dates within a series that are worth far less than their counterpart rare dates seldom seen toned coins. I show quite a few toned coins in the link below.
