Collection value?

A friend has ended up with a stack of old bills from an estate and asked me if I wanted them. I’m trying to figure out a good number, he threw out double face value ($165 face value so $330). I’m not sure it’s worth it. I’m interested in the $50, but I would also take the rest just to keep him from taking them to the bank which may result in destruction.

Here are some scans of the ones I think might be worth a look and I have included the complete list below in case there might be something else there of interest. The rest of the notes are a mixture of nearly crisp uncirculated to heavily circulated and likely many would just be considered spenders.

The margins are good on all these, but my scanning skills could use some improvement:

Any thoughts on an offer?
Thanks.

Double face is about right. Some of the heavily circulated non-star $1's are only worth around $1.35 each.

    I'd pay double face !!! :)

  • Thanks for the feedback. Any thoughts on value for just the $50?

Here is the rest of the lot - I think they seem to look a little nicer in the picture than in person...

Double face seems fair to both parties to me, too.

Collector and dealer in obsolete currency. Always buying all obsolete bank notes and scrip.
  • Thanks! I appreciate all the feedback.

    Great looking note.

I had avoided jumping into the $50 denomination until recently and agree how cool they are, although it can get a bit pricey

Thanks. We did make the deal at double face. Thanks for all the input.
