1 of each. You could certainly tell there was no rush to buy these. The site was at full speed.

imagine trying to sell one of these on e bay for issue price, it's hard enough to sell anything one bay without losing money after fees

    That makes no sense. Why?

Who knows, you know how those Mint Reps are. I called again and this rep knew nothing about June shipments.

Probably has it confused with the WW II commems.

In a couple years when Gold is below $500, Bitcoin is above $300,000 and Bushs Beans are going for $500 - I'll be offering an even up trade. A can of food for a useless Pink trinket.

But then again, I could be EATING that can of Beans................. hmmmmm.......

I'll wait for the Tuesday numbers

We'll see how this turns out. I was surprised at the Girl Scout numbers. Perhaps this will be a canary for the coal mine

What the numbers tell me is:
Just because you have been identified as having a particular shared movement or experience does not mean that you can be convinced to buy every poorly designed product that comes along in an attempt to capitalize on your funds.

I could actually see the gold coins appreciate if the mintage was 1,000 or less

well, yes and no. The real question is how many ads did the Mint run in hospital waiting rooms and breast cancer and cancer-related publications. My guess is, not too many. This may be a coin that has a slow build as people become aware of it.

If it makes you feel any better, I've started to get international orders. People are still just becoming aware of the set.

Even the Mint seems to be unaware of this set as they have yet to mark it sold out. LOL. I guess we're waiting for someone to trip over the 10,000 sets they lost.

    Hi Bull!
Hope your having a great week.
I just got off the phone with the Mint rep and placed an order. She told me my order will go out right after my order clears payment. Nothing about having to wait till later in the year. She seemed to have her act together I have to guess she was spot on since I requested overnight delivery to get my coin a First Strike designation to PCGS when I submit them later in the next week.

I don't know why I asked that specific question but I guess I did not want what they did with the WW1 coins. I had to cancel a prior order and I asked her if I would be put on their HIT LIST for cancelling. She did tell me I have nothing to worry about. Looking for drone's around the house. Have not seen one yet.

You just have to submit it within 30 days of the item being on sale for first strike. No need to pay for expedited shipping . No need to pay for that label either in my mind. You could have a first coin off a die 6 months down the road and be a much better coin that the last coin off the die after 20 days. People WILL pay more for the label though...

No need for drones - they can just listen and watch through your cell phone.

  • PCGS has partnered with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) to donate half of all label/pink gasket sales to BCRF. It's $9.50 per coin graded with the special label and gasket that goes back to BCRF. I would urge people who are typically not supportive of different label programs to see this one as having the potential to make a real difference in supporting the highest-rated breast cancer organization in the U.S. working towards a cure. Check out pcgs.com/bca for more info.

I like it I was wondering how to get that special label know I know thank you Mark S. Looks like you have to submit a minimum of 5 coins to get the label. I will have 6. Heck I might have to buy some more now just for the cause!

jmlanzaf I just threw all my cell phones away does that apply to my laptop too? :):D:p

  • @Gluggo said:

That minimum requirement is for on-site grading in Baltimore. To get the label for any office-graded submission, there is no minimum required.

    My UNC arrived today.

The "pinkness" of the gold is far less than I had anticipated.

Has anyone found a cool Coin Bezel yet , sized for a $5 Coin , hopefully with a Pink Ribbon , and protection for the surfaces?

Maybe a Pink cover to protect the surfaces and give it a more Pink hue?

Would have been more by PCGS messed up the pricing on the Gold Coins.
The Gold coins are supposed to be sent in at the new level "Modern Gold" which is $30 plus the $19 for the label or $49 each.

    The table barely fits.

We'll see what the returns look like (probably) next week. Perhaps the Mint's new policy will keep them to a minimum...

Gosh, I just love quoting myself....

I did some spot checking over the past few years (NPS, Boys Town, Marshals, BBHoF) and clad sales have always been below silver sales. (I guess it makes sense when you look at the markup. At least when you overpay for the silver commem, you still have some silver. Overpaying for clad, well...)

However, except for the BBHoF (because the BBHoF was an anomaly and actually sold out), clad to silver sales were never this low at the start of sales...

If congress would have mandated the phrase, "Save the Ta-Ta's" on the clad, I probably would have bought one... :D
