With my sample size of 1 it took longer. About 6 months ago I sent in 2 coins for economy grading and 2 for crossover. The crossover coins shipped out 12 days after the economy graded ones.
I've had it go both ways in the last several years... I tend to submit crossover economy and raw economy at the same time when I attend shows. I would say that slightly more often I get the crossovers back first before the raw submissions.
Mine went fast but I said any numerical grade and I got incremental downgrades. If they determine they are not problem coins, just take them out and give them a #,

I just had two regular submissions pop within one day of each other: one raw and one crossover. The pieces were mailed to PCGS in the same box.
...but they still charged you shipping for two orders?

Probably so. You can save shipping going, but not coming back. The submissions don't stay together once they get PCGS.

What I meant is that PCGS received them at the same time, and the separate orders basically popped around the same time. There was no statistically significant delay between raw and crossover for me.

You said it correctly...I read it wrong.

Mine took longer, but I did have a few varieties to attribute in addition to the crossover.

I have a crossover on the way back that was graded one week later than my regular submission. Both orders received on 1/4

About the same for me, which is to long.
Going from catholic to orthodox is fast - just add a finger and change direction. Other crossovers and conversions are more complex.

My experience is they take the same amount of time

If crossovers are posted quickly, you usually got the shaft!
I have a regular cross order that PCGS entered in their system on 12/22 and it is still siting on their bench.
I just got my grades on a 4 coin crossover submission. Received by our hosts on 1/16, shipped back on 2/9.
Very happy with the turnaround time (18 work days). Two upgraded!
