On the 1795 F.E dollars what is the best way to tell the difference between the Head of 94 vs 95 besides that extra bit of design under the neck seen in the 95?

This is a very complicated distinction for folks who are not Large Cent specialists. We never would have had this problem if every Sheldon # was ID as to head style. Unfortunately....
Someone posted the Head Types of 1794 cents on a forum (?). The Internet is your friend. I've got all kinds of notes yet still am unable to give you a simple straight answer. Glad you started this discussion!
Mr. Insider2, isn't the OP asking about 1795 Dollars?

I am. Figured many may read that fast and believe asking about large cents. Sorry.
Do you have access to the Q David Bowers book,
The Encyclopedia of United States Silver Dollars 1794-1804 ?
It lists the differences of both '94 & '95.

EDIT in humility due to @LoveMyLiberty
Of course I did not see the $ in the OP! 1795 $1 Head of 94 vs Head of 95. I thank you for making me choke on my post!
There is only one variety for the 1794 Dollar.
There are 15 for the 1795, I think. Sorry, make that 19 BB numbers.
The '94 has the eagle standing on a rock that
extends left & right farther than the '95.
Go to CoinFacts & below the 1794 example is
a lengthy discussion of both years.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Shame on me!
Now, I don't even understand the OP's question.
In general, besides that extra drapery fold below the shoulder on the Head of 1795 dollars, the forward bust truncation is quite pointed on the Head of 1795 (some of the 1794 Heads are somewhat pointed as well, like the BB-14), and the bust truncation on the Head of 1795 is shorter (further from the right-side stars) than on the Head of 1794.
Here's the Hesselgesser 1795 B-11, BB-12 with Head of 1794.
And here's the Hesselgesser B-2, BB-20 with Head of 1795.
Kind regards,
George
Don't mind me, go on with your story.
I just wandered in from pushing snow around.

Just say "D'OH!"
Another way to do this is to attribute the 1795 FH Dollar by die marriage, and then compare to the list of "Heads of 1794" (or 1795).
Heads of 1794:
Keys:
B (Bolender)-3, BB (Bowers-Borkhardt) - is B-3, BB-11
R-# is Rarity Rating. Four of the "Heads of '94" are extremely rare to Unique.
B-3, BB-11(R-5)
B-4, BB-14 (R-3)
B-7, BB-18 (R-3)
B-8, BB-15 (R-7)
B-9, BB-13 R-4)
B-11, BB-12 (R-7)
B-18, BB-17 (R-8, Unique)
B-20, BB-16 (R-8)
In general the 1795 FH Dollars are relatively easy to attribute as the coins are large and the die marriages are pretty different (unlike attributing late date Large Cents, for example!).
